Expansion of Homecare services planned

St Patrick’s Mental Health Services (SPMHS) is planning the expansion of our Homecare services over the coming years.

As part of our new five-year strategy, The Future in Mind, we have announced plans to expand and enhance our Homecare services for adolescents and adults.

The Homecare service, which delivers comprehensive mental health treatment to service users in their own home through video or phone, has become a core part of our service offering.

During 2022, service users rated the service highly, with a mean rating of 7.75 out of ten for care and treatment received.

While inpatient services remain at the heart of our operations, remote care has the potential to become another cornerstone of our human rights ethos by providing choice and empowerment to service users, removing barriers, creating further equity of access and enhancing social inclusion.
