The webinars will be available as Continuous Professional Development (CPD)-accredited mental health information films on our online GP portal over the coming months. The films are accredited for one CPD point from the Irish College of General Practitioners and cover the topics below.

  • Understanding mental health in older adults | Members of our Older Adult Service explore the diagnosis of depression in older adults and look at older age psychiatry social work in practice. 
  • Impact of COVID-19 on adolescent mental health and service delivery | Members of the team behind our Adolescent Mental Health Services explore the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on adolescent mental health.
  • Self-harm: Psychoeducation and intervention | Clinical psychologists from our team give a practical self-harm psychoeducation presentation for GPs, and explore self-harm interventions and how to respond to self-harming behaviours in the GP surgery.
  • Workshop with Anxiety Disorders Programme team | Members of our Anxiety Disorders Programme team explore assessments and referrals for anxiety presentations; the impact of COVID-19 on anxiety presentations; complex presentations of anxiety in the GP surgery; and therapy for anxiety disorders.
