GPs can now refer patients to the next cycle of our Compassion-Focused Therapy for Eating Disorders (CFT-E) group, starting on 23 March 2022.
CFT-E is a closed group that offers comprehensive psychological therapy for people who can manage recovery from their eating disorder in the community.
The upcoming cycle will start on 23 March 2022, with psychoeducation sessions running on 26 January or 2 March. The final after-care session will be on 7 December 2022.
This programme will commence online but will be subject to change depending on regulations and attendees’ preferences.
If you have any queries regarding an person's suitability for the group, please contact:
- Professor Clodagh Dowling, Director of Psychology at St Patrick's Mental Health Services (SPMHS) and Clinical Lead for CFT-E, on 01 249 3683
- Dr Fionnuala McEnery, Senior Clinical Psychologist, on 01 249 3509
- Dr Clíona Hallissey, Clinical Psychologist, on 01 249 3289.
All referrals received will be processed by our Day Services for insurance clearance purposes.
The programme coordinator will contact the individual directly with an appointment for an assessment or to give them a start date. It is important to note that, because these day programmes are closed groups, waiting lists are likely to be formed.
