GP Webinar: Psychological therapies for older adult mental health difficulties

GP Webinar Series: A family doctor views content on their laptop while taking notes in a notebook

The third instalment of the 2024 GP Webinar Series from St Patrick’s Mental Health Services (SPMHS) takes place from 7pm on 12 June.

The webinar will see some of the team within our Psychology Department explore psychological therapies for older adult mental health difficulties.

Presented by Dr Karen Looney, Dr Aideen O’Neill and Dr Mairead Losty, this hour-long webinar will start with a brief introduction to the evidence base for psychological therapies for older adult mental health problems. The presenters will then discuss the therapies available within SPMHS, which are specifically focused on the needs of older adults, as well as discussing the broader offering of psychological therapies for all adult service users, which can also be accessed by older adults.

GPs can submit their questions for speakers in advance by emailing communications@stpatricks.ie or during the webinar using the question and answer function on Zoom.

Continuous Professional Development (CPD) points will be sought for this event. Points available will be confirmed closer to the time of the event.

If you have any questions about this webinar or accessibility requirements for attending it, please email communications@stpatricks.ie.
