This is the final instalment of the 2023 GP Webinar Series from our team here in St Patrick's Mental Health Services (SPMHS).
Understanding psychosis from a psychological perspective will be presented by Dr Conal Twomey, Senior Clinical Psychologist, SPMHS and Adjunct Associate Professor (UCD), and Tara Deehan, Senior Counselling Psychologist, SPMHS.
This hour-long webinar will explore:
- Psychological lens of experiences of psychosis using the compassion-focused therapy (CFT) model
- CFT as a group intervention and what’s involved in SPMHS’ Compassion-focused Therapy for Psychosis (CFT-P) programme
- Building a compassionate mindset in managing experiences of psychosis
- Research exploring service users’ preferences for group interventions
- Referring to CFT-P.
