Service updates for Christmas 2022

As Christmas approaches, we will continue to provide a wide range of mental health services over the festive period.

Mental healthcare over Christmas

Mental healthcare over Christmas

Throughout the holiday period, St Patrick’s Mental Health Services (SPMHS) will provide inpatient care, Homecare, outpatient care and day programmes for patients who may require mental healthcare throughout this period.

Our inpatient services are provided from our three approved centres; St Patrick’s University Hospital (SPUH), St Patrick’s Hospital Lucan (SPL) and Willow Grove Adolescent Unit (WGAU).

Our Homecare service provides the highest quality mental healthcare and one-to-one support to service users remotely through daily or more frequent contact. All referrals to Homecare will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, in line with the individual needs of the service user referred.

Most of our Dean Clinic outpatient appointments continue to be delivered through phone, video and online technologies. The majority of our day service programmes continue to be provided remotely using Microsoft Teams.

We continue to implement a suite of infection control measures in response to COVID-19. These measures apply to all our campuses (SPUH, SPL, and WGAU), our community Dean Clinics, and day programmes.

If you have any questions about referringl to our services, please call our Referral and Assessment Service on 01 249 3635.
