Gender dysphoria and eating disorders eLearning modules have been added to St Patrick’s dedicated online GP portal.

St Patrick’s Mental Health Services has produced two new mental health eLearning films which are now available on our dedicated online GP portal, available here

Via this portal, GPs can view our full range of mental health information films, which have been produced specifically for general practitioners by St Patrick’s Mental Health Services with consultants and experts from the organisation featuring across the films.

Each film is approximately 30 minutes in duration and brings the total number of films available on the portal to seven:

  • *New*: Vulnerability hacking: Social media and eating disorders (TBC CPD): Dr Colman Noctor, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist in St Patrick’s Mental Health Services, discusses the impact of social media on eating disorders. Delivering this presentation as part of a 2018 conference on ‘Eating Disorders in a Modern Society’, Dr Noctor explores the relationships between traditional media and body image, socialisation and cultural norms, and how the evolution of social media relates to and changes these.
