Carers & supporters

As a family member, carer or friend of someone who is experiencing mental health difficulties, we understand that you may have many questions, queries and concerns.

We encourage those who use our services to share information with their families and friends, thus fostering a greater sense of personal ownership of their recovery.

Information shared with family and friends can help challenge negative health difficulties, as well as empowering friends and relatives to recognise any symptoms suggesting a relapse in your difficulties.

As a family member, carer or friend you are welcome to access our free drop-in Information Centre located opposite reception for information and educational materials. The Information Centre can provide information about mental health issues including various diagnoses, symptoms, medications and support services.
