Updates to inpatient services

We have implemented a number of changes to our inpatient services in recent months.

Inpatient care

We are continuing to offer our homecare service, which consists of the highest levels of one-to-one support provided remotely.

Inpatient care

The homecare service ensures service users receive necessary care and treatment, through daily or more frequent contact, along with psychopharmacological input arranged in liaison with local pharmacies.

Referrals for admission will be offered homecare admission on a case-by-case basis.  This will be discussed in detail with service users, and they will be informed of their options in advance. The mental health risk of the service user will always remain a priority, with considerations including clinical risk or the need for treatment which can only be delivered onsite, such as electroconvulsive therapy, being taken into account.

Service users accessing the homecare service will be admitted using an online platform that is available to both the service user and our staff members.

Referrals and Admissions Service

Our Referrals and Admissions Service remains in operation for adult and adolescent inpatient and outpatient referrals.

Referrals and Admissions Service

You can send us online referrals directly from your practice management system; this is a secure and fast way to send referrals and a copy of the referral is automatically saved into your patient's records on your GP Practice System.

Experience of remote services

Following the development of our remote services in March, we carried out regular surveys and held a consultative forum to explore the experiences of service users who received care and treatment provided remotely.

Experience of remote services

The majority of feedback from service users was very positive.
