New Service User IT Support launches to enhance remote services

St Patrick’s Mental Health Services (SPMHS) has launched a new Service User IT Support (SUITS) service to help service users get set up for remote access to mental health treatment.

The SUITS team deals with technical queries from service users in relation to accessing appointments and sessions through Microsoft Teams.

Using Microsoft Teams

If you are availing of our remote services, you will receive a link which enables you to take part in your appointment or group meeting on Microsoft Teams in advance. Before joining the appointment or group meeting, you will need access to the Microsoft Teams application: this guide gives you advice on how to set this up. We recommend that you set up your access to Microsoft Teams well ahead of the day of your first remote contact or appointment with your clinical team.

If you experience any difficulties in joining your appointment or meeting after following the information in the guide, the SUITS team will be able to assist you: you’ll find all the details you need below.

  • How can I contact SUITS?

You can contact the SUITS team by calling 01 249 3629 or emailing suits@stpatsmail.com. The team is available from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, monitoring and responding to phone and email queries during these times. Voicemail and emails left out of hours will be followed up the next working day.

When you get in touch with the team, please provide as much information as possible for your query. This can include the device you are using when trying to access your session (for example, an iPhone or iPad, Android device, Mac, PC or others), the web browser you are using (such as Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox and others) or anything else that could be useful for the team to resolve the issue.

  • What kinds of queries can I contact SUITS with?

SUITS currently only deals with technical queries relating to your access to Microsoft Teams meetings.

When you use the contact details for SUITS, your queries are directed to SUITS staff, not your clinician. We ask that you do not submit any queries about your medical condition or medication to the SUITS team. The SUITS team also cannot provide you with any clinical advice or help with any aspect of your care and treatment. If you have a mental health or medical query, please contact your clinical team.

  • How will SUITS use my information?

By requesting assistance from SUITS, you are agreeing for the SUITS team to contact you in order to provide support.

SUITS will delete your contact details – any emails, voice messages and telephone numbers that you have shared – as soon as you have confirmed that your issue is resolved or when the team confirms that it has taken all measures to resolve the issue without success.
