Cistin

Cistin is our annual night of songs and stories with the First Fortnight festival, and our 2020 edition boasts another brilliant line-up of music and spoken word.

Our curator and host is renowned spoken word artist and First Fortnight ambassador, Stephen James Smith.

You can look forward to hearing from West Cork singer-songwriter Matilda O’Mahony, Glasgow's spoken word artist, Leyla Josephine, and Liverpool-based composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer, Úna Quinn, whose most recent music fuses a contemporary electronic approach with a folk sensibility. Úna will be accompanied by critically-acclaimed  multi-instrumentalist Neil Campbell.

Meanwhile, Mongoose are returning to captivate the audience again with their jaw-dropping harmonies, after receiving acclaim for their album Suck The Wound, which saw the jazz-infused folk-pop group take their expansive, cinematic sound into brand new dimensions.

Cistin kicks off from 7pm on Thursday, 16 January, with booking available here.
