St Patrick’s Mental Health Services (SPMHS) in partnership with Saint Patrick’s Cathedral is hosting a Jonathan Swift-themed walking tour and visit to Saint Patrick’s Cathedral.
Step back into 18th-century Dublin and explore the life and legacy of Jonathan Swift - founder of St Patrick’s Hospital, Dean of Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, and celebrated author of Gulliver’s Travels.
Led by the Archivist at St Patrick’s Mental Health Services, this walking tour traces Swift’s deep connections to Dublin - from his years as Dean and his advocacy for the poor, to his enduring influence on Irish literature and society.
The tour concludes with a guided visit to Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, where an expert guide will bring to life the Cathedral’s stunning Gothic architecture, historic monuments, and Swift’s lasting imprint on this iconic landmark.
