The main goal of occupational therapy is to support service users to take part in the everyday activities that matter to them.
The music room has a valuable impact on mental health recovery. For some service users the therapeutic value of music is a substantial part of their recovery plan.
Exercise is seen as an important part of service users’ recovery. Tailored exercise plans are available as are Yoga classes, Pilates classes and Circuit Training.
The Wishing Well Family Room
The "Wishing Well" Family Room has beed designed as a space for people to use and enjoy when they have children coming to visit them in hospital.
The Information Centre provides information on mental health, hospital services as well as a range of mental health books.
Service User Library
Formally presented to the hospital in November 1984 by the Association of the Friends of St. Patrick's Hospital for the benefit of service users and staff.
Ridgeways Restaurant is located to the rear of the main reception and is open to the public. There are vending machines with snacks located throughout the hospital in common areas.
Amanda Jane’s Hairdressing Service provides a full range of Hairdressing Services for male and female service users.
We have a pharmacy on site, which can fulfil your prescription needs.
GP Primary Care Service
St Patrick’s University Hospital opened a new GP Primary Care Service in November 2015, in the main hospital building. The aim of the service is to improve the physical health of our Service Users. The service is available to admitted Service Users in both St Patrick’s University Hospital & St Edmundsbury Hospital, Lucan.
The GP is available for morning or afternoon clinics, Mondays to Fridays. There are 2 Practice Nurses who are available 9am-5pm, Mondays to Fridays. This is an appointment only service & referrals can be made through any member of the Service User’s Multi-disciplinary Team within St Patrick’s Mental Health Services.
Mass is celebrated in the Oratory daily and in the lecture hall on Sundays.
Internet Access for Service Users
St. Patrick's Mental Health Services offers computer use and Internet connectivity for service users.
Complimentary Wifi is available to service users and visitors.
There is an external post box located at Main Reception Desk. Stamps can be purchased in the Oasis Shop.
The Oasis Shop
The Oasis Shop is located on the ground floor adjacent to the entrance of Ridgeways Restaurant and supplies barista coffee, snacks, drinks, newspapers, magazines, cards, postage stamps, and toiletries.
